Legacy of Kain-Tolkien: Silmarillion

So he's Gil-Galad (his name means 'Shining Star' ), the last great king of the noldorim(an elf race) in the Second Age of Middle-Earth.
He was the bearer of the ring Vilya. The elves used the rings of power to preserve their fading glory, but defeating Sauron and destroying the One Ring meant their rings will lose their power, and their kind have to leave Middle-Earth, or stay there to face their extinction.
Gil-Galad got killed in the first war of the rings in the end of the Second Age.

Despite of the changes I did to him, I guess you know who he is in LoK. :D

Hey pretty cool, great costume design. Did you come up with all that yourself?

Not to pick any bones, but it's not all the elves that leave, just some of the remnant of the high elves. Theres a few that stay in Rivendell and Lothlorien, and plenty in Mirkwood and other places further east.

Love the choice of the background, and the colour tones...
It's really wonderful how you made the clothes & his hair flow softly with the light wind... His facial expression is that of concern, obvious from your explanation about this piece!
The armour is so fitting with the rest of the clothing, and the weapons, of course!
Hehee~ Kain can never be mistaken in identity, no matter what changes you make to him, and he looks so good in everything, lol! >w<

hey I thought it was one of your naked Kain fan arts again ;-P

very nice pic, it somehow makes me think of Turel instead (despide bearing Kain's symbol). Maybe it's because of the armor, it reminds me of human Turel's mural in SR2.

He had black hair only when he was a human. But it was a fun to make some changes on him to see if ppl can notice him this way. (the elf-king was black haired, so I gave Kain a drastic hair-dyeing :XD: )
